Ram 1500 service schedule: common questions

How often does a Ram 1500 need servicing?

The first scheduled visit is at 10,000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first, and the pattern repeats from there.

What is due at 30,000 miles on a Ram 1500?

Replace engine air filter; 5.7L: replace 16 spark plugs (30k schedule); Inspect transfer case fluid (4x4).

What is due at 60,000 miles on a Ram 1500?

Change rear axle fluid if towing regularly; Inspect drive belt; Consider ATF service if towing heavily (sealed unit, dealer procedure).

What is due at 100,000 miles on a Ram 1500?

Replace 3.6L V6 spark plugs; Replace drive belt if worn.

Does severe service change the schedule for a Ram 1500?

Oil-change indicator shortens intervals automatically under towing/short-trip/dusty duty. 4,000–5,000 mi is normal for hard-worked trucks. eTorque adds no extra scheduled maintenance items.
