The recurring ones are: hybrid loss of drive power, software recall; front seat belt pretensioner missing rivet (recall); infotainment / google built-in glitches; 1.5t oil dilution vigilance (carryover engine). Each is detailed above with symptoms, affected years, and typical cost. ### Which Honda Accord years should you avoid? The years to be most careful with are those affected by hybrid loss of drive power, software recall (2023-2025 (hybrid)) and front seat belt pretensioner missing rivet (recall) (2023-2024). A documented problem is not automatically a reason to walk away. Service records showing the repair was done change the picture entirely. ### Are there recalls on the Honda Accord? 2 of the issues listed carry a recall or technical service bulletin: NHTSA 25V-785 (Honda TN2) (hybrid loss of drive power, software recall), NHTSA 23V-782 (front seat belt pretensioner missing rivet (recall)). Recall work is free at a franchised dealer regardless of age or mileage. Check your VIN on the NHTSA site to see what is outstanding. ### How much do Honda Accord repairs typically cost? Typical figures for the issues above: hybrid loss of drive power, software recall, Free under recall (software update); front seat belt pretensioner missing rivet (recall), Free under recall; infotainment / google built-in glitches, $0 (software updates); 1.5t oil dilution vigilance (carryover engine), $0 (extra oil changes). ## Sources - [Goodyear fitment, 2024 Accord tire sizes by trim](https://www.goodyear.com/en-us/vehicles/Honda/Accord/2024) - [Honda News, 2023 Accord specifications & features](https://hondanews.com/en-US/honda-automobiles/releases/release-4e58b4e0fcd795affa5685a66a387e28-2023-honda-accord-specifications-features) - [College Hills Honda, 2023-2026 Accord maintenance parts (filters, 15400-PLM-A02)](https://www.collegehillshonda.com/category/11thgen-honda-accord-maintenance-parts.html) - [NHTSA recall 23V-782, seat belt pretensioner (2023-2024 Accord/HR-V)](https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2023/RCLRPT-23V782-1271.PDF) - [Wards Auto, Honda recalls ~257K Accord Hybrids for ICM software (25V-785)](https://www.wardsauto.com/news/honda-recalls-257K-accord-hybrids-software-error-nhtsa/807113/) - [Honda News, 2023-2024 Accord and HR-V seat belt pretensioner recall](https://hondanews.com/en-US/honda-corporate/releases/release-ce25b2bdc6167d48c9de61f4f905d5be-2023-2024-accord-and-hr-v-seat-belt-pretensioner-recall) - [Advance Auto Parts, 2023 Accord H5 battery fitments](https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/find/2023-honda-accord-batteries) - [EngineOilDB, 2023/2024 Accord oil capacities (1.5T 3.7 qt, hybrid 4.2 qt)](https://engineoildb.com/oil-info/2023-honda-accord/) ## Find your exact Accord - [2025](https://whichcarparts.com/cars/honda/accord/2025) - [2024](https://whichcarparts.com/cars/honda/accord/2024) - [2023](https://whichcarparts.com/cars/honda/accord/2023) - [2022](https://whichcarparts.com/cars/honda/accord/2022) - [2021](https://whichcarparts.com/cars/honda/accord/2021) - [2020](https://whichcarparts.com/cars/honda/accord/2020) - [2019](https://whichcarparts.com/cars/honda/accord/2019) - [2018](https://whichcarparts.com/cars/honda/accord/2018) - [2017](https://whichcarparts.com/cars/honda/accord/2017) - [2016](https://whichcarparts.com/cars/honda/accord/2016) - [2015](https://whichcarparts.com/cars/honda/accord/2015) - [2014](https://whichcarparts.com/cars/honda/accord/2014) - [2013](https://whichcarparts.com/cars/honda/accord/2013) More Honda Accord guides: - [Oil & filter](https://whichcarparts.com/cars/honda/accord/oil) - [Battery](https://whichcarparts.com/cars/honda/accord/battery) - [Tires & wheels](https://whichcarparts.com/cars/honda/accord/tires) - [Wiper blades](https://whichcarparts.com/cars/honda/accord/wipers) - [Air & cabin filters](https://whichcarparts.com/cars/honda/accord/filters) - [Bulbs](https://whichcarparts.com/cars/honda/accord/bulbs) - [Brakes](https://whichcarparts.com/cars/honda/accord/brakes) - [Fluids](https://whichcarparts.com/cars/honda/accord/fluids) - [Service schedule](https://whichcarparts.com/cars/honda/accord/service-schedule) - [Oil light reset](https://whichcarparts.com/cars/honda/accord/oil-reset) - [Key fob battery](https://whichcarparts.com/cars/honda/accord/key-fob-battery) - [Specs](https://whichcarparts.com/cars/honda/accord/specs) Specifications vary with engine option, production date, and market.
