Fitment, replacement notes, and what to check before you buy. **Quick answer**: The 2012-2017 Chevrolet Equinox uses a Group 48 (H6) battery. ## 2012-2017 Chevrolet Equinox battery specifications (High confidence) | Spec | Value | | --- | --- | | BCI group size | 48 (H6) | | Battery type | FLOODED | | AGM required | No | | Location | Engine bay, driver side | Note: Factory battery is a flooded Group 48 (H6/DIN 66) top-post; common replacements are rated 700-760 CCA. No stop/start on this generation, so a standard flooded battery is fine (AGM is an acceptable upgrade). Corroded negative battery cable ends are a known cause of electrical gremlins, inspect when replacing. ## Which Chevrolet Equinox model years does this cover?
